Why are we called
Erema Botanics?

EREMA is an African word, and the name of my lovely son. As he was the inspiration behind the brand, it felt like the perfect name to choose.

In OKO (an African language from Nigeria), the word EREMA is associated with lushness, opulence, blossoming, wellbeing, and luxury. All words that perfectly fit with what we’re all about.

Our Purpose

We’re committed to looking after you (our customer), our people, and our planet, in everything we do.
We believe skincare should be organic, natural, and totally safe – without compromise.

Our products contain only the purest high-performance ingredients – ideal for sensitive eczema-prone skin.
Free from synthetic fragrances, strong essential oils, and irritants.

My innate love for nature, and a childhood spent growing some of the glorious herbs of Western Africa on our own family farm, is what gave me the foresight to blend these ancient herbs with my new-found scientific knowledge.

For years, I helped my grandma to sell herbal extracts that were used throughout the community to care for all sorts of ailments and skin wounds.

From this stemmed my passion, and from my son’s skin condition, stemmed my mission:

To craft a safe, sustainable, and effective product line.

It needed to be ethical, natural, and super-effective in hydrating and revitalising damaged skin, not just for my own children, but for all of those people who suffer from dry skin conditions such as eczema.

Finally, with Erema Botanics, I’ve created a beautiful range of products that really work.

Platbos Forest Reserve, WC, South Africa Greenpop is on a mission to reconnect people with our planet. They work to restore ecosystems and empower environmental stewards through reforestation and urban greening. As part of our ethos to give back to our community, Erema Botanics has partnered with another supplier to plant a tree with Greenpop.

Being a green beauty brand, we are constantly seeking ways to extend our research, improve our knowledge, and develop products and packaging that further our green agenda.

We never test on animals and every single product we offer is ethically sourced and consciously created. Our ingredients are always clean and made out of pure love.

Our Sustainability Initiative

Miron Glass

The majority of our products are housed in Miron Violet Glasses – eco-friendly, recyclable glass that’s been specially designed to protect from the harmful rays of UV light, so products last for longer without the need for added preservatives.

The glass is 100% recyclable, so better for the environmental than the many single-use or non-recyclable plastics in the industry.

Boxes

We send all orders in high-quality rigid flute corrugated board. They are each made with around 75% recycled fibres and are 100% recyclable.

Tissue Paper

We secure your products with an extra layer of tissue paper, which is 100% recyclable and biodegradable. It’s also acid-free and dyed with water-based inks that are non-toxic for you and the environment.
